A NEW shipping company, Geniki Lines, has recently been established in Malaysia to handle freight between the country's ports.

A company statement said Geniki Lines will specialise in meeting the shipping needs between Malaysian ports.

At the same time, the firm has launched a new container ship, the Geniki Johor, which it says, will provide the most comprehensive and complete containerised service bridging ports on the east and west coasts of Malaysia.

The company said the launching of the new vessel demonstrated the firm's commitment to cover a wide range of ports in the country.
